You have 7 computers listed. Why not dedicate one for playing games? CAPT Siran d'Vel'nahr - L L & P _\\// Winders 11 OS? "What a piece of junk!" - L. Skywalker "Logic is the cement of our civilization with which we ascend from chaos using reason as our guide." - T'Plana-hath |

Which Core client are you running? 4.19, 4,25 etc. Do you have boinc set to "run always" under the file menu? You might try unchecking it. tony |

That's odd. I don't have TTD, but I regularly play games and BOINC is more than happy to give up the resources. |

BOINC is automatically set to low priority I opened Excel earlier today and watched (as I had Task Manager open also) that the resources went to Excel and after closing Excel the resources went back to the "project" No matter where you go, there you are... |

My TTD game states that it is recommended to reboot into the command prompt and play from there rather than run it directly out of Windows as it will be sluggish running in Windows mode. My TTD is several years old so I could have an older version than he has but it's just a thought as to what could be wrong. To truly explore, one must keep an open mind... |

Running TTDpatch 2.36alpha under windows XP, it seems to handle resources correctly. If your still running the original (I can't even play the original anymore. Partly cos it wont run on NT based windows, mostly cos it dosent have pre-signals) try getting TTDpatch. |
