I regularly get the following information in the stderr out field of many of my workunits:

<core_client_version>4.13</core_client_version>
<stderr_txt>
SETI@Home Informational message -9 result_overflow
NOTE: The number of results detected exceeds the storage space allocated.

</stderr_txt>

Is this normal?

No, it's not normal. I used to get this when using another's (other than official) boinc software. Since switching to the official software, I don't see this anymore.

Hi,

I had these problems en-masse just earlier today with a homebrew compiled version of boinc and seti. That was ok I can accept that there is problems with this machine, but it must have been just too coincidental that another Mac of mine with the official software had a result overflow as well and it doesn't show too many of those in the backlog.
