Hello Again, After reading "BOINC Powered Projects Documentation" by Paul D. Buck, and getting greetz Mike's answer, I see that I am getting credit for what I have done. I still have a question though. If i use the pull down menu on by Mac, it shows Projecj Credit 0, Total Credit 0. If I sign in and go to the "Your Account" page, it shows the credit I have. Is this just a lag because my computer hasen't spoken to Seti@home in a while, or is something else going on? Thanks, Peter J. McClosky |

Hi Peter, welcome to the BOINC Forums, only for Info, it take some time before all Results are valid, because http://boinc.berkeley.edu/intro_user.php#credit Credit The project's server keeps track of how much work your computer has done; this is called credit. To ensure that credit is granted fairly, most BOINC projects work as follows: * Each work unit may be sent to several computers. * When a computer reports a result, it claims a certain amount of credit, based on how much CPU time was used. * When at least two results have been returned, the server compares them. If the results agree, then users are granted the smaller of the claimed credits. more info http://boinc.berkeley.edu/credit.php Greetings from Germany NRW Ulli S@h Berkeley's Staff Friends Club m7 © |

So, Yes, it is because you have not talked to the server for awhile. In general, the stats on the project site are the most up to date, hardest to use with the least information. The stat sites are next, with more stats than you will know what to do with, but they only update once or twice a day, the stats on the PC are the most out of date ... and with the least information. That may change, I noticed that the may be a new Statistics tab in the next versions of the BOINC Manager. |

It's still out of date most of the time, though. <img border="0" src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/one/stats.php?userID=567" /> <a href="http://boinc-doc.net/boinc-wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page">BOINC Wiki</a> <a href="http://www.tamaness.hostrocket.com/BOINC_team.html">Gideontech BOINC team!</a> |
