hi all!
in my nickname i have this special character (Ð) and never i had a problem with it in all webpages and software of seti.
with this new boinc interface, webpages characters are ok and boinc software is ok too. but in project graphics (and screensaver), the special characters like mine crash and they are typed "as is" with 6 basic characters (#& 208;).

this can be fixed?

I do have a similar problem but only in the Boinc client. In client version 4.25 my name is displayed properly and in 4.19 it is not!

It has been discussed many times earlier so I suggest that you make a search on "international characters" in the forums at

hi, its Ð (alt0208), and only crash at graphics project or screensaver nick text, boinc gui and all other user interface of sah network its ok for this character.

thanks man, i found some post and they talkin about something like in boinc version 4.6x it will be fixed.. so, if im in truth (cos im a non-english speaker), wait while workin units! :o]
