You have 47 minutes to get your server up and running!

scooley.. it's Sunday in Berkeley-land... the chances of the internet provider actually doing something on a Sunday is next to nil... Does it suck that they're down, Oh yeah. Attach to another project... I think Einstein is up right now...

I'm down to Einstein and CP myself, I won't run out of work, but 2/3 of my projects are currently down... This is just a sucky weekend for BOINC....

I have mine set for 0 days. It wont let me upgrade from 4.19 to 4.25 without first uninstalling the old version. Usually you can install over the old version.

Whether I'm working on 1 project or 2, by computer will do the same ammount of work, so my credit won't go up any extra.

Misfit, that's a good idea... but I still won't be able to upgrade until SETI, and Predictor and Einstein all accept the units I've completed.... I guess that's what CP is for... but with it only 9% done, I don't think I'll be waiting for it to complete before I change over... well, unless it takes that long to clear up all my other projects...

Why do you have to wait? The upgrade unistalls the executables and leave the work units alone. I upgraded and didn't lose a dang thing on any of my projects.

First of all, Fuzzy, your avatar is just great. Second, I want to run it out cause I've heard from some of my team mates that sometimes 4.25 won't accept the new ones or will revert to 4.19.

Since everything is down and I'm at almost 100% for everything except CP and one other beta program, basically, this will let me do a nice clean release. I've already d/led the new client so I just have to wait until the servers are up again and then all will be well...

I just don't see that there's a net difference if the projects are down anyways...

It can't revert back to 4.19 because you have to uninstall it...

ahem, done! ;)

True - but it won't go up at all when running on one project alone and that project is unreachable ;)

I strongly dislike (you're right Wolf, hate is too strong a word) Mondays because I have 3 hours of class and a 6 hour lab, along with a formal lab and usually an assignment due. Sundays are unfortunately the day I spend finishing off everything due on Monday... Saturday is generally a good day.... and so are Wed, Thurs and Fridays...

The first half of the week sucks... but the term is nearly over and then I'm back to a 9-5 job, which isn't so bad... it's in a lab!!!!

I'm often reminded that it's not a bad thing to procrastinate...

Often, in that interim period brought on by procrastination, I've learned something new which prevented what would have been an irrational act if I hadn't procrastinated.

I do wish I had cached some WUs for the weekend though.

BTW have you ever thought of dual-booting YellowDog Linux on your Mac. You should at least be able to use BIONC on that, I think :)

Don't know, 5 +1/2,

I'll try a thread in the Crunching board and see what I can find out about that.
