Message 87669 - Posted: 19 Mar 2005, 1:20:15 UTC

I belong to a group called starfleet command Q1 and I am having trouble getting it to update my uploads. I am at 12 March and a lot of other People are at the currnet date.
I am currently running Boinic, now does that affect the group or what? I know it has updated since I started running Boinic so can anyone help me.

Frank

Try looking here: http://www.boincstats.com/stats/user_graph.php?pr=sah&id=565070 ;)

You're studying sah classic stats but your results go to sah 2 ;)

It seems only two of you are currently running boinc - http://www.boincstats.com/stats/user_stats.php?pr=sah&st=0&to=100&or=&ti=34712#2

The rest of your team propably go boinc when classic is closing. Oh, your teams overall stats: http://www.boincstats.com/stats/team_graph.php?pr=sah&id=34712

The ESEA signature is currently reserved for ESEA team members - simply a matter of keeping resources (i.e. bandwidth and server load) on a managable level ;)

Well to get anything out of the ESEA signature, you would need to switch team from your current StarFleet Command Q1, as it currently doesn't show stats from members of other teams - are you sure you want to do that?

I had a feeling you would need to ;) That's why I didn't just go ahead and give you the instructions ;) People should only switch teams because they want to - not because I or someone else persuade them to ;)

Hello,
Seti is one of several scientific programs that run on the CoreClient BOINC.
You can run as many of these scientific programs as you like and your CPU can manage before deadline (even more, but you won't get credit;) all on the same Boinc. It will do what a manager is supposed to do: Manage these applications according to your preferences :)
ATM 4 projects are open to the broad public:
Seti
ClimatePrediction
ProteinPredictionedit: ATM down due to server update
Einstein

BTW:
The (very good) manual for Boinc is the BOINC Powered Projects Documentation by Paul D. Buck and the FAQ therein.
Gruesse vom Saenger

For questions about Boinc look in the BOINC-Wiki

No. You just attach to climateprediction the same way you attached to seti in boinc ;) If you're using boinc 4.1x click on the tools tab on the menu bar and then choose attach. Then copy/paste the project url and your account ID from the e-mail you got from climateprediction. If you're using boinc 4.2x click on the projects tab, then on the left of the window click on attach and do the copy/pasting as mentioned before.

Then boinc will switch between the two projects - with standard preferences it will give seti one hour then climateprediction one hour and so forth. With the preferences for each project you can decide how much of your cpu's time will be used on them. To change the preferences go to your account page on either project, find preferences for the project your on (not the Generel or the forum preferences ;)) and change the number for Resource share. Note though, the number is not percentages unless the sum of the numbers for all the projects your on is 100 ;)
