I just joined seti@home. This is the first time I participate in a shared computing / crunching project.

Ouch. That screen saver is annoying. Why does it spinn around like that? Other than that, this seems nice. Can the screen saver be swaped for another one or be made to not spinn?

You can adjust it by going to your account and click on edit seti@home preferences.
Then adjust the horizontal and vertical oscillations for the period and range of displacement.

Hope this helps!
To crunch more stop the screen saver.

Horizontal and Vertical settings, set to 0 (zero).

These settings won't go into effect until you go to your Boinc manager and Update SETI.

When the graphics is running you can use the mouse and left click and hold to pull the graph around and up and down to get the correct angle.
I have mine move very slow.

My browser did not work without the www. I know. I also don't use the www but this time it didn't work, possibly because the domain isn't a .com.
