Hi everyone,

I was looking at my accounts page and saw that I had three "results"which were sent to my computer and were 'In Progress". None of these units seemed to have finished. Sooo, is there something wrong with my seti or can I now compute numerous units at the same time ? All of these units were also sent at different times to my system. At the moment there is also only one computer running BOINC

I should maybe add that I cannot use seticontrol (Applications/setiathome-BOINC/slots/0/state.sah: No such file or directory) or setiboincstats (error -2702, also some problem with a .xml file) supposedly deep thought is running (although no credit yet)...

Last question to pester you with tonight: How long do units roughly run (yes, I know it depends on how much you use your computer but a ball park figure) for a DP 1GHZ with 2GB Ram?

Any ideas on A) is everything working properly in seti?
B) How can I get seticontrol or setiboincstats working?

Thanks for all the help

I should add that in the meantime one unit has finished (second downloaded) but I had this "error message" in my log:

2005-02-27 08:11:54 [SETI@home] Result 26dc04aa.2077.18032.1003414.69_4 exited with zero status but no 'finished' file
2005-02-27 08:11:54 [SETI@home] If this happens repeatedly you may need to reset the project.
2005-02-27 08:11:54 [SETI@home] Restarting result 26dc04aa.2077.18032.1003414.69_4 using setiathome version 4.02

Should I reset the project? How would I do it? is this related to my problem above? If I were to reset my project I would like to do it at the end of a result, how can I tell how much is left of a unit with boinc?

Thanks and enjoy your weekend,

David

The first problem, Seti Control indicates more than two processors. I used to have the problem, but when I re-installed Boinc, the problem went away.

The second thing about "reset" project. I just posted the query about it. I've been having the problem ever since I started BOINC, late last year. If you ever find out why or what to do about it, lemme know.

Thanks;
