But that would just give an average number of WU's... right?

i figured it might be as simple as:
"SELECT * FROM table WHERE client_state = 'done'"

not that i have any idea how the tables are setup nor how results.php works.

i guess there could be some concern on processing maybe thousands of records everytime this stat is displayed. then again, it seems that the Total and Average Credit on home.php might be already making a similar request.

i wouldn't dare write a script to get that info. there is no reason to parse that many pages of results just to find that number.

if it is that simple tho, then it might be worth an email.

The problem with this solution is that validated results are deleted from the database after 2 weeks so that would only give you the number of work units that you have done in the past 2 weeks.

oh ok. i was under the impression that ALL results were kept there.

i was just expecting to see # of workunits because i was used to it w/ SETI@home.

I've noticed that a number of WU's are not actually worked fully. they're completed in less than a minute. For what ever reason, I would suspect that the data was faulty but it could be something else. Credit for the work done to crunch a unit rather than the task of completing a WU, seems the truer measure. Hard to make a race when the track does not look like it’s of a definite length. But in fact it is -- cause credit is given as measured by the number of cycles it takes to crunch the data in the WU.
I don’t like it, but I get it. I get it, right?

For SETI@Home this is most likely caused by a "noisy" work unit and there is no pooiint in processing the result.
