I have looked at my results and click on the > computer number and its not mine, does this mean the work unit was completed > by someone else?? > thanks Ceri Each work unit is processed at least 3 times in SETI@Home, though to speed things up they issue the work 4 times right now. So, any work unit will have at least 4 Results created. These results and the work unit that spawned them are downloaded to your comptuer where you process them and return the result. So, when You look at any one work unit, you will see it has been processed by 4 computers. So, if you look at this Result you will see that it came from this Work Unit and was issued to 5 computers, of which one of which was mine named "EQ-1". Does this help? |
