Started BOINC tonight and to my amazment it downloaded 5, yes 5 work units. At last I thought the project is starting to work, I should have known better. I now have 5 work units sat on my PC doing nothing, the 'Work' tab shows the units as downloading even though the 'transfer' tab does not and the message screen has displayed the units received OK messages.

At least you got work units.. (Message from server: No work available.)

and the credits dropped me back below 1000 wu.

I started BOINC, (that seems like an odd name for something, like it should be associated with a problem or error message "BOINK!"), because the classic version just won’t connect anymore.

The transfer tab will only show you anything while the file is actually being
tranfered. Once the transfer is complete it goes blank. You need to look on
your work tab and see if anything is happening under the progress bar.If the
wu is being processed the cpu time will go up, progress will go up and in the
beginning the to completion time will go up,then after a bit it will start dropping.
