> I miss WordWeaver. Well, Admiral, if you want an offensive point of view, Deimos et Phobos is even worse than WordWeaver. If you're looking for the inability to answer a direct question, worthless citations, and fuzzy thinking, Paul Zimmerman could give you your fix. But if you want multiple nonsensical posts (i.e. SPAM), well, the moderators have pretty much taken care of them. Any other weird and strange things you may miss are, or likely will soon be posted here, by myself and any number of weird and strange contributors. |

> I miss WordWeaver. Just look for the swastikas and anarchist stars.. you'll find other flavours of biggots to tickle your fancy... Must agree though there has been some rubbish spouted in these forums of late and wordweavers upfront lunacy seems a tad bit better than people who spout psuedo intellectual excuses for fascism .. Strange how seti seems to attract the unattractive :( cRunchy |

Not bad, took just under half an hour for someone to figure that out. I know it wasn't logical, I wrote it to get a rise and you're the first to spot it. > My theory: > Nut cases don't think their nut cases and think normal people > are nut cases so they search for ET and post their insane posts > to show the nut cases (normal people) how sane they really are. That's exactly what I was thinking when I decided to type in what I did. > I personally walk that fine line between the two extremes, not insane > but I occasionally wade into one side or the other :D Vulcans do not go insane unless they get the affliction that caused Sarek to break down. I do not remember the name of it because it is so rare an affliction. > [Off Topic] TheSpeeker hasn't posted in 28 days, Is he still with us? Hmmmm.... Good question! Let me see what I can find out. > Vulcans do not go insane unless they get the affliction that caused Sarek > to break down. I do not remember the name of it because it is so rare an > affliction. > Bendii Syndrome Episode: TNG 171 - Sarek A rare usually fatal disease that afflicts Vulcans over the age of 200, debilitating their emotional control; there is no known treatment. Early symptoms include sudden bursts of emotion, especially irrational anger, but the only way to prove a diagnosis is to grow a culture from tissue of the metathalamus — a process which takes several days. The telepathic abilities of Vulcans are strong enough to cause the loss of control to be projected onto others. Ambassador Sarek of Vulcan died of it on stardate 45245, in 2368. |

I remember that episode very well. Picard had to take on the symptoms, via a mind meld, allowing Sarek to gain control over his emotions so that he could complete his mission. Or.... Hmmmm.... Was that the episode when Picard went to Vulcan to have a final visit with Sarek and Amanda? Hmmmm.... L8R....
