A few people have suggested that since the Database is now running on the faster server, that it's time to re-enable the Pending Credits feature. Would that be possible? If it's still not feasable due to technical reasons, here's an alternative you could consider. On the Account page (and on the BOINC client itself), you can see the Total Credit and the Recent Average Credit. How difficult would it be to add a "Pending Credit" number? It would allow crunchers to know exactly how much credit they have in the works, without forcing the database to pull up the details of every single pending result. Shouldn't we wait and see what happens when seti classic is shut down? I have the feeling we might be in for some hardware upgrades in the near future... The database server should be pretty busy right now, with all the catching up that's happening. Some of the machines listed on the server status page may need upgrading, too. Regards Hans |
