Hi Not sure if there is a thread like this is meant to be already but i welcome and invite everyone who's upgraded in anyway and tell everyone what difference if any, good or bad, its made. I recently upgraded my pc from a 2.66 pentium to my now 3.4HT pentium and using total credit as a benchmark work amount it getting though has at least trippled. In two months almost to the day my 2.66 system managed just under 4500. The new machine running (simultaniusly for one of those months until i past the old one on) has now done about 2 1/4 months and has got just under 15500. might hav gotten more but the last week has been very dry getting WUs so has only done 2-3 a day instead of sometimes 8 or more a night. with now added 3 diffrent antivirus/spyware ect programs schelduled to run individualy every night. Other improvement to system is the slightly faster speed (but dual channel) ddr ram |

Just want to add that i would have like to use the number of WU's completed insted but the've been deleted. All but two for the old 2.66 machine. Looking at those now i realise that the numbers might be much farther off than i realised as those two rmaining result show i was claiming (tring to anyway) 45-50 per WU on the 2.66 system but the new 3.4HT system is only claiming 25ish per WU. to make it worse theres a massive backlog of yet ungranted credit to be given. taking this into account i can only thing that i should be saying its about 5or6 time faster at least. definatly worth the upgrade. Whats everybody else getting from the upgrades? |

> Whats everybody else getting from the upgrades? > yes my HT machine is leaving my others in the dust, but my higher AMDs have great times, just not the same results/day. now, that said, I, among many others, would be happy to take the "discards" from other's upgrades to get them back up and crunching for seti (or other projects as you prefer) congrats on the new machine!
