Hi, I have the following problem when trying to build the seti client: on a Mandrake 10.1 AMD 64 machine: /bin/esql -e sqlifx.ec make[2]: /bin/esql: Command not found make[2]: *** [sqlifx.cpp] Error 127 I assume that this is because I don't have Informix. Informix's SDK doesn't seem to be free and I can't buy it so does this mean that I cannot build the seti client? The version of the client is: seti_boinc-client-cvs-2005-01-27.tar.gz I am building on Mandrakelinux 10.1, on an AMD Opteron. The standard seti client fails with -144 shared memory errors so I am trying to build my own. I had to fix a C++ problem with the friend declaration of an overloaded >> operator in a template (sorry to be confusing) to get to this point. My configure line is: MYSQL_CONFIG=`which mysql_config` CXXFLAGS=-march=athlon64 BOINCDIR=../boinc_public/ ./configure --disable-gui --disable-server Thanks! Tim |

I have the same problem on Ubuntu "Warty". Although I find it strange, that the seti_boinc client (only, build of the server is disabled) requires a sql-db at all. My seti_boinc-version is "cvs-2005-02-04". thanx in advance tenco |

Hi all, I had the same problem. I "fixed" it by using the cvs-2004-12-01 seti client instead. Compiled out-of-the-box, more or less. (Had to install libglut3 on a console only box...) Regards Hans |
