Following your instructions to detach and (re)attach from project to force correction of failed connection to scheduling server, results in loss of WU's, both transfers and uploading, as well as cache. And no matter how many times I try to reconnect to try to get a connection, it fails.

Seems to me someone @ SETI shouldn't be there.

I didn't detach/re-attach. I just did the "Update" 10+ times and all was well.
Give that a try instead of detaching.

I used the plain old project URL: http://setathome.berkeley.edu, and got re-attached, but even trying ten times doesn't work. It restarted, but got two WU's, won't get any more because of it's "too soon".

Keep using the "http://setiathome.berkeley.edu" URL. That page has a code embedded in it (near the bottom) that specifies the location of the scheduler. THAT is what has changed. When your BOINC client fails 10 times to even find the scheduler (it took mine 12), then it will go back to the above URL and find out where the scheduler has moved to.

NOTE that they also bounced the project down/up at least once since they made that change, so you might have still had some trouble for a while.

It took mine 12 times, then it found the scheduler after that. The URL you show (except for misspelling "setiathome") is the correct one to use.

As far as the "too soon" message, you need to space your requests out by about 10 minutes in order to avoid that situation (which is separate from the scheduler change).

Something else not mentioned is that when you detach, you lose one computer and add another when you reatach. I now have three computers, two active and one "detached".

Click on the "computers" link in your account page, and merge your hosts.
