1-16-05 My BOINC total this morning is the same as it was yesterday morning. I checked Technical and Server status and it relates some problems but not a complete shutdown. Do I have a problem here or is everyone else getting the same result. Dave Nelson |

Same here - no new credits since yesterday. It's like something new breaks every weekend with this project. I'm not complaining, just venting. |

Ouch, the Steam from your Vents burned me ... hehe I aways stock up on a few extra WU's for the Weekends because like you said something seems to break most weekends ... ;) |

I keep 3 days worth of WUs now, so I don't run out. I just wish these problems would decrease in frequency - makes the stats look smoother. In the end though, no biggie. I hope the admins are able to get the recent hardware issues resolved. |

Well, you do need something to get annoyed with, don't we all? :) At least it is only happening on the week ends. It could simply be that we are still "stretching" the envelope and this konks out something. With only two projects in full swing we are plonking down on SETI@Home a great deal. Heck, they were trying to build up a "stash" of work and we keep draining it almost as fast as they try to fill it. |

The Validator is still behind, The status page is frozen on 1/15/05, and no XML stats have been generated since 1/14/05 at 12 noon. Guess its time to let the Seti Staff have a weekend off. They'll have all next week to get it working again. And they are still fighting an idiot who is spamming the Seti Cafe. |

Nice of the status page to say everything is running fine, when the status page hasn't worked for over 40 hours, and no one telling us anything on the main or technical page. Oh well, I also keep enough WU to make it through the weekend, but wished someone would keep remote eye on the system, and say they know there is problems and it will be worked on, instead of us all sitting here guessing. I just got CPDN running 50/50 with SETI on my #3 computer. I suppose, under the present circumstances with SETI not updating, I wont see any trickles from CPDN either. Dave Nelson |

What do they call it when the client systems are more reliable than the host? Anyway, it's not what people theorized the challenge to distributed computing would be. |

What do they call it when the client systems are more reliable than the host? "Redundancy"? My problem is that with no WUs coming down the 'pike, I've got nothing to crunch. Slightly OT - Should I be using the 4.13 or 4.14 BOINC client for SETI? If there's a "good" time to update, it's now... |

As far as I know the 4.14 is still just an Alpha release, the 4.13 client is whats still listed on the download page. I have no problems with the 4.13 myself... |

OK, then - I'll stick to what I've got. Thanks! |

I upgraded to 4.13 on my laptop yesterday.. No problems so far. I am going to upgrade my Solaris systems in a few minutes.. I am still getting SETI WU's, but my totals aren't updating.. I'd rather speak my mind because it hurts too much to bite my tongue. American Spirit BBQ Proudly Serving those that courageously defend freedom. |

I just got some credit, so maybe they have fixed the problem! <img src='http://www.boincsynergy.com/images/stats/comb-912.jpg'> |
