A very detailed solution from Sven can be found at http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=1141
follow the link to his web page. This solution is much easier to implement than the Python / APS fix.

I cant try it out till Monday but can see no reason why it shouldnt work.
